The goals of Learn @ Work Week are to raise awareness of the impact of workplace learning, to celebrate the best practices of workplace learning and to celebrate the success of the 'learning organization'. | Deadline for nominations for the Stars of Alberta Awards September 24thThese awards recognize extraordinary Albertans whose volunteer efforts have contributed to the well-being of their community and fellow community members. Any Albertan whose volunteer efforts have played a significant role during their lifetime is eligible. Six awards are presented annually; two in each category of youth, adult and senior. | Workforce Initiatives Inventory The Alberta Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Workforce Council have developed the Workforce Initiatives Inventory to provide a forum for nonprofit organizations to obtain and share information about nonprofit workforce initiatives throughout Alberta. The inventory is divided into four categories: Human Resources Management, Leadership Development, Information and Research and Shared Space and Services. The Workforce Initiatives Inventory will allow organizations to:
• Search for initiatives to help with workforce and human resources management challenges; and
• Provide a forum to share their workforce projects and initiatives with the sector.
