REGIONAL RESOURCE NETWORK
The Regional Resource Network is responsible for:
- Providing leadership, support and resources
- Promoting, facilitating and providing professional development and networking opportunities
- Providing collective support to its members, including, mentorship, orientation and coaching
- Facilitating communication and cooperation between coordinators, councils, board members, Alberta Advanced Education and Technology, community stakeholders and the broader public
The Regional Resource Network is divided into seven regions, each with a Community Adult Learning Council Coordinator who acts as a Regional Resource Leader. In addition to their responsibilities within their own councils, these dedicated individuals take on a vital role within the Community Learning Network. Each Regional Resource Leader is attuned, attentive and responsive to the specific needs of their designated geographic region. The structure of the Regional Resource Network facilitates grass-roots communications among Community Adult Learning Councils and key adult learning stakeholders. The Regional Resource Network Manager and Regional Resource Leaders work together to ensure that each region’s networking and professional development needs are met. This requires a certain amount of flexibility in planning and preparation for meetings, which is critical to the overall success of the Regional Resource Network.
